MEET OUR STAFF
DEB (FRANKIE) PLUYM
Frankie is truly wonderful teacher who cares deeply about all her students. Every lesson is fun, and I come out feeling lighter even if I entered the lesson exhausted or had a terrible day… I cannot encourage you enough to go see Frankie!” Leah
Frankie is a devoted singing teacher who has a bachelors in teaching and more than 25 years of singing and performing experience. She has sung as a soloist, conducted choirs and lead musical teams in different settings.
Frankie’s passion is to help provide safe spaces for people to find their voice. She operates out of the ethos that singing is an inclusive experience, not just something for the lucky few. She believes everyone can discover their voice, no matter what age or level of experience. There is space here for you!
Besides Frankie’s teaching and training experience, she is also a passionate songwriter who offers her students a chance to develop their own songwriting skills.
With her team, she provides opportunities for students to meet each other and perform in fun and inspiring community settings. For those that want to keep growing musically, there are all sorts of different next steps she has lined up.
Finally, Frankie is a fan of supporting local community and is committed to fostering a culture of being generous with what you have. Open mic night’s profits go to local charities, and the Everyone Can Sing community is often involved in bringing joy to those less fortunate, like singing in nursing homes every year.
We’d love for you to be involved! Drop Frankie a line on every1cansing@gmail.com if you are interested.
CARMELO MANZONE
“Carmelo is a terrific teacher and I continue to use the processes and exercises he took me through to improve my voice and singing. My voice and projection has improved a lot since my lessons with Carmelo.”
Carmelo is a super kind, enthusiastic and experienced teacher who has been connected to us for a long time. His career started out with a bang when he became a finalist on the Xfactor (YouTube him and you will see his performances!) and since then he has created a large performing portfolio which includes singing on Cruise Ships in the States for a number of years, before settling back down in Sydney and re-joining our team.
He’s great with things like vocal projection, stamina and learning runs and riffs. He has sung soul and pop but has experience teaching a variety of styles and students. Carmelo will make you feel supportive and safe and will give the tools to become a better singer.
